APE Series - Ethernet-Based Measurement Units without Display
The APE-4S is a versatile 4-channel Ethernet monitoring unit designed for connecting up to four digital temperature or temperature/relative humidity (T/RH) sensors. This configuration allows monitoring of up to eight measurement parameters simultaneously, making it ideal for larger installations such as data centers (hot aisle/cold aisle monitoring), cleanrooms, and multi-point climate monitoring applications.
The APE series represents a cost-effective generation of Ethernet-based monitoring units designed for reliable temperature and relative humidity monitoring. The series has been developed for applications where good measurement accuracy is required without the need for high-end sensor technology. With support for protocols such as Modbus TCP, SNMP (v1/v2c/v3), HTTP(S), HTTP GET (JSON/XML), and IPv4/IPv6, the monitoring units can be easily integrated into building management systems (BMS), SCADA environments, and cloud platforms such as OnlineSensor.
The compact APE monitoring units are available in 1-channel, 2-channel, and 4-channel versions and support cost-effective digital sensors for temperature and temperature/relative humidity measurements. Multiple measurement values are available from each connected sensor. For example, a 4-channel model can accommodate four T/RH sensors, providing a total of eight measurement parameters. The 2-channel version additionally features three digital contact inputs for connecting external alarm devices or dry contacts.
Powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) or 5–24 VDC, and equipped with integrated memory, extensive networking functionality, and modern security features, the APE series provides an efficient and cost-effective solution for applications in commercial buildings, technical rooms, storage facilities, schools, offices, and general industrial environments.
