Level switches are used to detect a high or low level and take immediate action. The best-known example is the float in a toilet bowl that closes the water supply when the tank is full. In industrial settings, level switches are used to control the level in tanks, for example, by turning a pump on or off. In shipping, they are used as bilge monitors in addition to tanks. The most commonly used level switch is the float switch, but there are also electronic versions such as a vibrating fork, ultrasonic or capacitive level switch. Each measurement principle has its own advantages and disadvantages. Feel free to ask us for help in selecting the right product.
